CEO Larry Neilson of Neilson Marketing Services, a premiere insurance marketing firm for more than 25 years, kicked off the general session at this year's AIMS Society PRO-to-PRO Executive Retreat. He gave a detailed look at Internet search, competition from national direct writers in personal lines, and new entrants to the online insurance marketplace that are targeting small business owners.
"Commercial has been owned by independent agents," he explained. "You probably want to hold on to it." Neilson then offered detailed counsel on how agents can build a strong Internet strategy that involves not only generating leads, but also converting those leads to sales.
In opening the event, AIMS Society Board member Chester Butler, "...the sharing of ideas is the driving force behind the CPIA program and AIMS Society as a whole. This proved true not only in the facilitator training, but throughout the entire PRO-to-PRO." Over the course of a day and a half, more than two dozen presenters and panelists led the exchange of ideas and expertise. The net result: Everyone went home richer.
