NASNAS Insurance Services, Inc. announces the availability of BrandGuard™, an innovative new insurance coverage that pays companies for lost revenue in the event of a cyber breach. BrandGuard™, a component of NetGuard™ Plus cyber liability insurance, is designed to provide organizations an extra layer of financial support while they work to restore their customers’ trust following a data security breach.  Protection for privacy-related exposures, as well as complete breach response services include:

•  Legal Support
•  IT Forensics
•  Public Relations
•  Customer Notification
•  Credit Monitoring
•  Identity Restoration
•  Compensation for Lost Income

As more small and mid-size businesses are distracted by cyber attacks and exposure of their customers’ or patients’ personal information, they may have a temporary interruption of income. BrandGuard™ is designed to provide financial support to the business, beyond any other typical breach response program, and help the organization get back on its feet.

A recent study by the Ponemon Institute found that 15 percent of customers said they would terminate their relationship and 39 percent said they would consider ending the relationship in response to being notified of a breach by an organization. An effective recovery from a cyber breach is essential to retaining customers. With BrandGuard™, our insureds now have the added coverage they need to bridge a short-term drop in revenue while they focus on restoring their operations and rebuilding goodwill.

Re: Revenue Loss Due to Cyber Liability Claim - If during a covered loss the insured were to lose a customer permanently (loss of contract) – do you have coverage for this? Coverage would have to apply after the standard period of restoration.
