The independent agents' association in Massachusetts announced it is offering its members remote staffing services provided by Work At Home Vintage Employees (WAHVE) on a preferred basis.
WAHVE provides experienced insurance professionals who are "phasing" into retirement to agencies and other insurance firms on a remote outsourced basis for full-time, part-time, or project work. The Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA) gives its members access to WAHVE's staffing services at special pricing.
Agency principals' number-one concern is finding qualified staff, found an MAIA 2013 statewide agency survey in Massachusetts. Noted Francis Mancini, Esq., MAIA president and CEO: "Agency owners are struggling to find the talent they need to drive their business.
"MAIA is providing a cost-effective and flexible option by endorsing WAHVE's solution of U.S.-based remote insurance professionals who are experienced in the industry," Mancini added. Agency turnover, retirements and shortages of local candidates all make hiring and retention of staff a top priority that competes for the time and attention of agency owners, noted Bill Hunt, chief sales officer of WAHVE. "Remote staffing is increasingly a choice for independent agency principals all over the country. Agencies that use WAHVE are saving on costs of hiring, training, salary and benefits, payroll taxes, and office space. Agencies get access to insurance talent located in other parts of the United States, so they are no longer restricted to insurance talent in their local market."
WAHVE's innovative work-at-home model engages vintage professionals who work on a full-time, part-time, project or consulting basis. Remote workers work via secure web connection in roles including personal lines and commercial lines customer service representatives (CSRs), underwriters and assistants, sales and marketing assistants, trainers, consultants, and back-office process support.
