Marsh announced today that Chaman Aggarwal, a 25-year veteran of the energy industry, is joining the firm to lead its US Energy Construction Practice. In his new role, Mr. Aggarwal will be responsible for the development and delivery of infrastructure- and construction-related services and solutions to clients in the energy sector.
Mr. Aggarwal will be based in Houston and work in unison with Marsh's existing energy and construction teams around the world. He will report to Rob Hausler, Marsh's North American Energy Practice Leader.
"The oil and gas revival taking place in the US has led to a significant increase in the amount of investments in infrastructure projects throughout the energy sector," Mr. Hausler said. "Under the leadership of Chaman Aggarwal, Marsh will be even better positioned to offer industry-leading expertise and market solutions to help meet clients' project risk needs and protect their capital," Mr. Hausler said.

Mr. Aggarwal brings more than 25 years of experience to the energy insurance industry, having held senior positions with several of the leading energy insurers, both in the US and overseas. Most recently he was Senior Vice President - US Construction with Liberty International Underwriters.
