A.I.M. Mutual Insurance Companies and The Quincy Mutual Group have formed the Commercial Solutions Underwriting (CSU) Alliance. The CSU Alliance is designed to meet the commercial lines product needs of small to medium-sized employers in Massachusetts, more than 85% of all businesses in the state. Both companies are domiciled in Massachusetts.
The CSU Alliance is expected to be a welcome and highly competitive addition to the Commonwealth’s commercial market, according to K. Douglas Briggs, president and CEO of Quincy Mutual, and John Myers, president and CEO of A.I.M. Mutual.
“This Alliance combines two stable and highly-regarded local insurers already competitive in the Commonwealth’s small employer market,” said Briggs. “Now, together, we’re able to offer an enhanced, complete commercial lines program.”
The Quincy Mutual Group, rated A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best Company for more than 75 years, is a leading domestic Massachusetts insurer with comprehensive expertise in commercial auto, property and liability coverages. A.I.M. Mutual, which has an A (Excellent) Best rating, is a well-regarded specialty Massachusetts workers compensation insurer with a reputation built on exceptional service, loss control and claims management for more than 20 years. Associated Industries of Massachusetts, the leading employer association in Massachusetts, sponsored the formation of A.I.M. Mutual in 1989 specifically to provide high quality workers compensation insurance to Massachusetts employers.
“From our standpoint, the CSU Alliance allows us to retain and generate business by capitalizing on the product strengths and distribution systems of each other,” Myers said. “We recognized from the outset that both our organizations shared a serious commitment to the service level we provide, which was critical going forward.” Myers added the program includes a unique Account Credit on all companion policies that directly benefits customers who purchase commercial coverage through the Alliance.
