ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group, announced a new structure and senior leadership appointments to further strengthen its global property business and enhance its ability to provide customized products and services to multinational clients. This structure consists of two zonal operations, and a centralized complex risk unit to address the unique needs of global property programs.

Kelley Kinsella and Brian Church have been appointed Senior Vice Presidents and Zonal Executives, and will establish the unit’s overall strategic underwriting direction, drive portfolio management, and deliver exceptional client services with their respective teams across the nine ACE USA regions. They also will oversee regional production plans, product sales, marketing and producer management, as well as staff management and general operations. Ms. Kinsella and Mr. Church will report to Paul McNamee, President, Property and Specialty Lines, North America.

In addition, Eric Stoer has been appointed Senior Vice President, with responsibility for all complex multinational property programs, including fronted programs, property Cashflow (captive), and Controlled Master Programs (non-captive). In his new role Mr. Stoer will work closely with Ms. Kinsella and Mr. Church to oversee marketing, underwriting, servicing, quality control and management for these accounts.  Based in New York City, Mr. Stoer will also report to Mr. McNamee.

“These appointments acknowledge Kelley, Brian and Eric’s accomplishments, leadership, and proven success in working with regional brokers and clients as well as reinsurance partners, to help them better understand the diverse range of products and services offered by ACE USA’s property operations,” said Mr. McNamee. “Structured global property programs are of particular interest to ACE as we continue to invest in our multinational capabilities.  The establishment of the centralized complex risk unit to supplement our zonal operations, will further enhance our leadership presence in this growing and highly sophisticated market.”

Based in Chicago, Ill., Ms. Kinsella’s responsibilities will include overseeing the Western Zone, including the Northwest, Western, Midwest, Southwest, and Houston regions. With more than 25 years of experience at ACE USA and an ACE predecessor company, Ms. Kinsella most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the ACE USA Midwest Region.

Based in New York City, Mr. Church will have responsibility for the Eastern Zone, encompassing the Northeast, New York, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast Regions. With more than ten years of experience in the insurance arena, Mr. Church joined ACE in 2005, most recently serving as Vice President and Regional Underwriting Manager for ACE USA’s Southwest and Houston Regions. Prior to his tenure with ACE, he held underwriting positions with Zurich Financial Services, C.V. Starr & Co., Inc., and Starr Technical Risks Agency, Inc.

Mr. Stoer brings his more than fourteen years of experience in the global property and marine arena to this new position, having joined ACE in 2006.

He most recently served as Vice President, Global Account Manager for ACE USA Property and Specialty Lines. Prior to joining ACE, Mr. Stoer focused on global and national business for retail and wholesale brokers in his role as Underwriting Team Manager for Zurich’s New York office, and as Global Property & Foreign Casualty Broker and Account Manager for Aon Risk Services in its New York Global Business Unit. He also served as an Account Team Manager at a national marine claims adjusting company.
