Global professional services company Towers Watson has been ranked No. 1 in its industry category on FORTUNE magazine’s list of “World’s Most Admired Companies.” This marks the first time Towers Watson has been named to this prestigious list.
Towers Watson topped the magazine’s list in the Diversified Outsourcing Services category, which includes companies that offer a range of value-added professional services. Towers Watson received the top rating in five of the nine key criteria by which companies are evaluated, including:
- Innovation
- People management
- Quality management
- Financial soundness
- Global competitiveness
Towers Watson also earned second-place rankings in two other categories – use of corporate assets and long-term investments.
“We are honored to be ranked an industry leader,” said John Haley, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Towers Watson. “This recognition is a true testament to the commitment and dedication of the entire Towers Watson community, especially our associates, who work each day to provide innovative ideas and outstanding service for our clients.”
FORTUNE’s study of World’s Most Admired Companies is conducted annually by The Hay Group, a global consulting firm. The study surveys senior executives, outside directors and industry analysts to identify companies with the strongest reputations among the FORTUNE 1000, Global 500 companies, and other major non-U.S. companies. Results are featured in the March 5 issue of FORTUNE magazine.
