UPAC Insurance Finance (UPAC®) announced that it has been nominated for the second year in a row for The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award. Created 18 years ago to honor locally owned- and- managed small businesses, this award goes to Kansas City area companies that best represent the spirit of entrepreneurship. The "Mr. K" award, as it is also known, is a tribute to Kansas City's own Ewing M. Kauffman and embodies the values in which he believed - commitment to good business practices, excellent employee relations and service to the community.  
 
UPAC also was nominated as a candidate for this honor in 2004 and was named as one of the Chamber's Top 10 Small Businesses of the Year. "We are working very hard to develop a unique culture at UPAC that encourages personal growth for our associates and delivers outstanding service for our customers", said Kurt Huffman, UPAC's president and CEO. "To be seen as an organization worthy of consideration for such a prestigious award is a humbling experience, and we feel deeply honored."
