Philadelphia Consolidated Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: PHLY) has announced that National Underwriter Magazine has ranked it 51st on their 2006 Top 100 Property & Casualty Insurance Groups, up from a 57th ranking the previous year. Rankings are based on Net Premiums Written, Growth percentage, and Combined Ratio. PHLY posted growth of 15.9% from 2005 and a 9.7% lower Combined Ratio of 68.4%. Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance Company is ranked 69th among the Top 100 Insurance Companies, up from an 84th ranking.
