Pacific Property Consultants (PPC) announced it has reached an exclusive agreement with Arrowhead Managed Insurance Programs to provide quality assurance services within a comprehensive bundled insurance program for homebuilder clients of Arrowhead's Contractors' Choice(TM) insurance program in California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii.
These quality-assurance services are based on the Quality
Built(TM) system, developed by PPC, including a mandatory design review of building plans; field training and education; and third-party inspections conducted by specially trained consultants.
"Since our inception, Contractors' Choice has used independent peer review to ensure the quality and integrity of our clients' building plans," said Carole Fleischman, president of Arrowhead
Managed Insurance Programs, based in Pasadena, Calif. "Now we will ask our clients to use the proven, third-party inspection program and statistical assessment of PPC, which should continue to ensure building safety and lower claims."
"I am pleased that Arrowhead through its Contractors' Choice program endorses our program for homebuilders, which provides the tools to improve quality and durability," stated Stan Luhr, PPC's CEO.
Luhr said his company has performed more than 90,000 inspections since the program started in 1994, yielding drastically improved builder quality and increased home performance. Various facets of the program include education of vendors and trade contractors of potential concerns, and documenting positive quality items, as well as pointing out items that need correction.
"Builders large and small have realized there are numerous steps that can be taken to improve quality and customer satisfaction, while helping to reduce potential litigation and contain escalating insurance costs," Luhr noted.
Contractors' Choice (www.contractors-choice.com) is designed specifically for general contractors and developers, providing coverage, risk management/loss control and claims administration for residential and commercial contractors, as well as wrap-ups and project work.
The program was designed after meeting with general contracting firms to identify the greatest insurance needs of the building community, taking into consideration the coverage, risk management/loss control and claims administration concerns.
